Hanseatische Gesellschaft für Verlagsservice (hgv) is the innovative service and solution partner for publishing houses. Our 200 employees in Hamburg, Kusterdingen and Munich support publishing customers in the areas of customer, financial and IT services as well as data intelligence.
The hgv is a 100% subsidiary of the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group.
Customer service and logistics
In the area of customer service and logistics, we handle the processing of orders and the entire delivery management. To this end, we operate two customer service centers: one in Hamburg for trade publishers and one in Kusterdingen for specialist publishers. We offer publishers, booksellers and end customers an "all-round carefree" package.
Financial Service
The value creation process is far from complete when your books are delivered. Highly efficient processes and effective risk management in our accounts receivable department lead quickly and securely to your sustainable liquidity.
IT Services
We are the right partner when it comes to solutions for your publishing software or the design and implementation of complex IT infrastructures. Our vendor-independent, technological knowledge and service-oriented approach guarantee that we provide you with effective support tailored to your individual requirements. The majority of our employees come from the publishing and book industry and are therefore very familiar with processes in publishing houses.
For all your projects, we offer you our professional project management according to the PRINCE2 method. This ensures a structured and efficient approach. Our employees speak your language and are very familiar with all core processes typical of publishing, from program planning to sales.
